| One
of Birmingham’s best loved, enduring and most
acclaimed entertainers, Malcolm Stent has an unashamed
pride and passion for his native city. In his show,
Go and Play Up Your Own End, he aims to delight
and entertain you with his humorous take on life in
general. There’s plenty of jokes and anecdotal
fun with his memories and nostalgic reminiscences of
his youth and tales of life in the back streets of Birmingham,
with the odd song or two thrown in for good measure.
Malcolm had the audience in stitches with his tales
of growing up in the 50s and 60s,
Times and places may have changed, but that Brummie
spirit, allied to its’ unique brand of humour,
survives intact.
When was the last time you laughed so loud and long
that you ached the next morning? Mine was last time
I saw Malc Stent. Never offensive, never blue. Always
a scream.
Go and Play Up Your Own End is a great
show of nostalgia, music and laughter
Sunday with Stent was po-faced pulverisation; a
blithe, pseudo-bewildered battering of the risibilities
that took no prisoners. If you were there you laughed
without the option….
It was mirth without mercy
Stand up comedy just like it used to be from one of
Birmingham’s top comedians
